Udhampur, Apr 17: A comprehensive three-day training course on “Investigation of Anti-Corruption Cases” commenced today at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), Udhampur, with the participation of 14 investigating officers. The course aims to enhance the investigative skills and legal understanding of officers tasked with combating corruption—a global menace that undermines trust, justice, and institutional integrity. The program was formally inaugurated with Shri Rakesh Sambyal, Chief Prosecuting Officer, CLI SKPA, as the chief guest. In his address, Shri Sambyal welcomed the participants on behalf of the Director SKPA and underlined the importance of anti-corruption investigations not just in identifying wrongdoers but in restoring public trust, safeguarding resources, and fostering a society where corruption is not tolerated. “Your work is more than a job; it’s a service to society,” Shri Sambyal emphasized, urging participants to view every case they investigate as an opportunity to bring about positive change and serve as a deterrent to potential offenders. The course curriculum is designed to provide in-depth knowledge on various forms of corruption, the legal frameworks that govern anti-corruption measures, and practical investigation techniques. To meet these goals, eminent guest faculty from the Anti-Corruption Bureau J&K, CID J&K, FSL J&K, and experienced academicians have been invited to share their expertise. The training course is being coordinated by Shri Raiz Ahmed, Sr. Prosecuting Officer, and assisted by HC Balbir Singh. |
