Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 20: The Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation (JPBEF) commemorated the 80th Foundation Day of the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA), founded on April 20, 1946, with a meaningful social welfare program held at BALGRAN - a charitable home for children in Channi Rama, Jammu. Marking eight decades of commitment to workers' rights and social responsibility, the Federation organized a special outreach initiative by distributing 120 towels, essential ration supplies, and daily-use items to the children residing at BALGRAN. The event was held in a vibrant and heartwarming atmosphere within the premises of the home. The program was presided over by Com. Tara Singh, President of JPBEF. In his address, Com. Arun Kumar Gupta, General Secretary of the Federation, emphasized the historical significance of the day and reiterated the Federation's ongoing commitment to social causes. "We have always believed in giving back to the community, and on this momentous occasion, we are proud to continue our tradition of social responsibility," he said. The event was attended by prominent bank dignitaries, office bearers, and Central Committee members including Com. Ashwani Pradhan (General Secretary, PNBOA), Com. Yogesh Kumar, Com. Jatinder Kumar, Com. Harminder Singh, Com. Lucky Jamwal, and several comrades from various bank branches. This initiative is part of a series of similar programs organized by JPBEF in the past, such as those held at facilities for specially-abled children in Udheywala and Channi, as well as Balika Niketan at Ved Mandir, Amphalla.
