Early Times Report SAMBA, Apr 21: Continuing its vigilant crackdown on illegal mining, Samba Police has successfully seized six dumpers used for the illegal transportation and mining of construction material in the jurisdiction of Police Stations Vijaypur, Samba, and Ghagwal. The operation, led by police teams under the supervision of SHO Police Station Vijaypur, Incharge Police Posts Mansar and Supwal of PS Samba, and Incharge Police Post Rajpura of PS Ghagwal, was conducted during routine patrolling across these areas. The seized dumpers, which were actively engaged in the illegal extraction of construction material, are registered under the following numbers: JK08G-8799, JK21G-5586, JK02CR-8169, JK21-8772, JK21G-6049, and JK21-9073. The vehicles were immediately seized and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba, for further investigation and legal action. This proactive move highlights the ongoing efforts of the Samba Police to curb illegal mining activities that pose significant risks to the environment and local infrastructure.
