Two held in Jammu attempt to murder case; weapon recovered | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 22: In a significant breakthrough, Police Station Pacca Danga, under the jurisdiction of City North Jammu, arrested two individuals, including a juvenile, in connection with an attempt to murder case registered under FIR No. 30/2025. The arrests were made on April 21, 2025. The accused have been identified as Shubham Gill alias Maya, son of Pawan Gill alias Pammi, resident of House No. 105, Dogra Hall, Jammu, and one juvenile whose identity has been withheld as per legal protocol. Both were arrested for their involvement under sections 109/126(2)/115(2)/351(2)/352/3(5) BNS, along with Section 4/25 of the Arms Act at Police Station Pacca Danga. During the operation, the police recovered the weapon of offence-a Toka-from the possession of accused Shubham Gill. Notably, Gill is a known repeat offender involved in multiple heinous crimes and had previously been booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA) in 2024. It is also pertinent to mention that another accused in the same case, Bharat Mota alias Bangu, son of Murli alias Sanjay Kumar, resident of House No. 69, Dogra Hall, Jammu, had already been apprehended earlier by the police. The operation was conducted under the overall supervision of Sh. Vivek Shekhar Sharma (JKPS), SP City North, Jammu, and closely monitored by Sh. Vikram Singh Bhau (JKPS), SDPO City North, Jammu. The arrest team was led by SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Rakesh Singh Jamwal along with SI Muzaffar Hussain Shah, In-Charge Police Post Rehari. The Jammu Police continues its dedicated efforts to maintain law and order in the region and bring offenders to justice. |
