Early Times Report MAJALTA, Apr 26: In a landmark celebration of academic excellence, talent, and dedication, Government Degree College (GDC) Majalta hosted its Maiden Annual Prize Distribution Function at the college campus. The event was organized to recognize and honour the outstanding achievements of students and faculty members. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, Principal of GDC Jindrah, who attended as the Special Invitee. In his address, Dr. Sharma lauded the college's commitment to nurturing an environment conducive to holistic growth and praised the consistent efforts of students and staff alike. The program commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Shalini Sharma, Principal of GDC Majalta. She highlighted the importance of such events in motivating students to excel academically and in extracurricular pursuits, reinforcing a spirit of healthy competition and institutional pride. In his keynote address, Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Sharma praised the vibrant participation of students across various fields and expressed optimism about the college's progressive future. The highlight of the event was the distribution of awards across multiple categories: Best Student of the Institution: Shipali Rajput, Best NSS Volunteer: Rohit Sharma, Best Orator: Sundar Ali, Best Library User: Priya Verma, Best in Cultural Activities: Neeru, Best Athlete: Santosh Kumari and Best in Event Management: Akram Rahi. In addition, Vinod Kumar, a dedicated faculty member, was honoured with the Award of Excellence for his outstanding service and contributions to the college.
