Udhampur, Apr 26: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) District Unit Udhampur organized a condolence meeting today under the chairmanship of Sunil Verma, District President JKNC Udhampur, to pay homage to the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. The meeting was convened to express deep sorrow and solidarity with the families of the innocent victims and to pray for the eternal peace of the departed souls. The participants observed a two-minute silence in memory of the victims, followed by prayers for peace and strength for the affected families. Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Verma strongly condemned the cowardly act of violence and emphasized that such inhuman acts have no place in a civilized society. He reiterated the National Conference’s unwavering stand against terrorism and its commitment to safeguarding peace, harmony, and brotherhood in Jammu and Kashmir. Sunil Verma urged the people to maintain unity and resilience in the face of such tragedies and reaffirmed NC’s resolve to continue working for the establishment of lasting peace in the region. Prominent leaders and office bearers who spoke during the meeting included Javed Iqwal, Senior Vice President JKNC; Sardar Gurmeet Singh, Vice President NC; Amar Nath, District President SC Cell Udhampur; Chaudhry Rashid Mohd., District Secretary; Gulan Hussain Kanth, Senior Leader; Om Parkash Bhagat, Block President Udhampur; Om Parkash Sanyal, Block President City Udhampur; Vinod Kumar, Panch; Bhushan Kumar, Panch; and Suhail Malik, Sony Dogra.
