Desh Bhagat University organizes "Rashtra Pratham" Awareness Rally to Promote National Unity

MANDI GOBINDGARH, May 19: An impactful awareness rally on the theme "Rashtra Pratham" was organized by the NSS Cell of Desh Bhagat University, with the goal of instilling a deep sense of patriotism and national unity, particularly among the youth.
The rally commenced from the university campus and concluded at Village Shaunti, covering a 7-kilometer route. A large number of students, faculty, staff, and local residents participated enthusiastically, chanting patriotic slogans like "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and carrying placards promoting national pride, unity, and civic responsibility.
The rally was flagged off by Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, who praised the initiative and encouraged everyone to uphold the values of "Rashtra Pratham"-putting the nation above personal or regional interests.
Also present were Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Advisor to Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh, Dr. Surjeet Patheja, Director Media and faculty members, showing strong institutional support for the cause.
The rally aimed to remind citizens of their duty towards the nation and to promote core values such as integrity, discipline and civic responsibility.
The event concluded with a motivating address by Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, who thanked participants for their enthusiastic involvement and emphasized the importance of collective national effort in building a strong and united India.
