DBU organized a Mega Job Fair where 379 students were recruited by reputed companies

MANDI GOBINDGARH, May 29: Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with the District Employment Bureau, Patiala, and Government ITI (Nabha Road), Patiala, successfully organized its 70th Mega Job Fair at the Government ITI Patiala campus. The event was a resounding success, attracting the participation of 1,479 students and 47 reputed companies from diverse sectors.
Top industry leaders such as Swaraj Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, Federal Mogul, Madhav Group, Mits Healthcare, and many other renowned brands actively participated in the fair, offering a wealth of job opportunities to aspiring candidates. As a result, 379 students secured placements, while 514 were shortlisted for further hiring processes. The highest salary package offered during the event was ?4.2 LPA.
The job fair was inaugurated by Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, who emphasized the university's unwavering commitment to fostering strong industry-academia linkages and empowering youth through employment opportunities.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Sh. Jasbir Singh Gandhi, Office Incharge to the Health Minister of Punjab; Dr. V.K. Bansal, Retired Joint Director, Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training; Sh. Hardeep Kumar Tohra, Principal-cum-Deputy Director, Govt ITI Patiala; Sh. D.P. Singh, Principal (JS), Govt ITI Patiala; and Sh. Virender Jadhav, Project Manager, Punjab Development Commission.
The initiative was spearheaded by the Training and Placement Team of Desh Bhagat University, whose efforts received widespread appreciation. Ms. Puja Kathuria, Manager CRC, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Government ITI Patiala and the Punjab Government for facilitating this remarkable opportunity. "This job fair has helped turn the dreams of many students into reality," she said.
Desh Bhagat University remains dedicated to bridging the gap between education and employment by organizing impactful initiatives that connect students with top recruiters.
