Army’s Pivotal Role
7/30/2025 11:02:09 PM
While appreciating the Army for safeguarding the nation’s unity and integrity, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, saluted its dedication and commitment and termed the Army as a custodian of Jammu and Kashmir’s vibrant cultural heritage. He lauded the Army for consistently striving to fulfil the dreams and aspirations of youth.
Unity in diversity has always remained a hallmark of India’s great culture. The Indian Army has consistently worked to harness this power for societal benefit, creating opportunities for youth to strengthen national unity through literature, music, art, and sports.
The Army has played a pivotal role in J&K to empower the youth and prevent them from going astray.
The Indian Army has consistently worked to reinforce India’s pluralistic culture, especially in Jammu and Kashmir, a land known for its syncretic traditions. Through literature, music, art, and sports, the Army has created avenues for youth engagement, encouraging them to channel their energies into creative and constructive pursuits. Events like cultural festivals, talent hunts, and sporting tournaments organized under the Army’s outreach programs have helped foster local pride and reinforce a sense of belonging to the national fabric.
In a region where the youth have often been targeted by divisive elements seeking to exploit alienation and unrest, the Army has stepped in as a source of hope and opportunity. Initiatives like Army Goodwill Schools, skill development programs, and medical outreach camps are helping to steer young minds away from radicalism and toward education, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility. These efforts reflect a deeper commitment to healing wounds and rebuilding trust.
Lieutenant Governor Sinha rightly highlighted how the Army has empowered youth, enabling them to become ambassadors of peace and unity. By integrating cultural heritage with modern aspirations, the Army is not just preserving traditions but also rejuvenating them to inspire a new generation. Its efforts have created real impact—not just in the form of better security, but in the emergence of artists, athletes, writers, and leaders from the region.
The Army’s role in Jammu and Kashmir goes far beyond conventional defense. It embodies compassion, vision, and resilience. It stands as a symbol of integration, guiding the region toward a brighter, more inclusive future. In saluting the Army, we also salute a force that has not only guarded our borders but has embraced hearts, dreams, and culture with equal strength.
