8/5/2025 10:29:15 PM
MIZORAM, Aug 5: Amit Sharma, Secretary to Government, Cooperation & ICT Departments, Government of Mizoram today termed PACS as the big 'success mantra' for making Bharat a developed nation in times to come during the Inaugural Session of an important NCDC Awareness Camp organised in Champhai district of Mizoram which was chaired by Cooperation Minister P.C Vanlalruata himself.
Amit Sharma, Secretary Cooperation, during his special address to the packed-house gathering at Champhai, talked about the significant role of Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS) in shaping-up the future by venturing into varied sectors for enriching prosperity of the nation.
Amit further emphasized that all the progressive farmers of Champhai should get registered under MPACS for availing maximum benefit from multiple schemes of the NCDC through the novel models like FPOs, Joint Ventures, Marketing Societies, etc which can help them to fetch maximum profits with the support of Apex Cooperative Bodies coming at their doorsteps.
Secretary Cooperation Amit Sharma gave a contemporary example of constructive approach of present regime when a long pending project for setting-up a broom factory under NCDC funding was approved under his chairpersonship by a Committee, after giving requisite guidance to concerned MPACS in Mizoram.
Minister Cooperatives P.C Vanalalruata, during his presidential address, motivated the participants to come-up in a big way towards availing loaning facilities under NCDC schemes in agriculture and fisheries sector here and directed RCS Mizoram and DCO Champhai to adopt a proactive approach in helping them from time to time.
