Amit chairs SLIMC meeting at NABARD RO in Mizoram

AIZAWL, Aug 9: Amit Sharma, Secretary to Government, Cooperation & ICT Departments, Government of Mizoram yesterday chaired an important State-level Implementation and Monitoring Committee (SLIMC) Meeting at National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Regional Office, Mizoram as a chief guest wherein lot of important decisions were arrived at. At the outset of the Meeting, Pankaja Borah, NABARD GM-OIC Mizoram welcomed the chief guest Secretary Cooperation Mizoram Amit Sharma at the Regional Office alongwith Registrar Cooperative Societies, Mizoram Apex Cooperative Bank (MCAB) team and other participanting officers in this Meeting. Secretary Cooperation Amit Sharma mentioned that the basic purpose of Computerization of RCS Office and Computerization PACS by Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India is to bring total transparency in working of PACS and make Cooperation sector as one of the major contributors towards National Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in coming times. During the Meeting, Amit Sharma while discussing the agenda points, reiterated that NABARD has a critical tole in shaping-up the Cooperative Movement in the state of Mizoram and it has to keep performing its role as a watchdog and guiding force as well for RCS Office in accomplishing next phase of Computerization of PACS here, as mandated by the MoC, alongwith several initiatives, especially during this ongoing International Year of Cooperation, 2025.
