DBU donates Rs 5 lakh to Punjab Government

MANDI GOBINDGARH, Sept 26: In a heartfelt gesture of solidarity and social responsibility, Desh Bhagat University has donated Rs 5 lakh to the Punjab Government's flood relief efforts under Mission "Chardi Kala". This contribution aims to support those affected by the devastating floods across the region.
The donation reflects the university's commitment to the welfare of society and its dedication to the spirit of "Chardi Kala" - a Punjabi ethos of relentless optimism and selfless service in the face of adversity.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, stated, "As a responsible educational institution, it is our duty to stand with the people of Punjab during these challenging times. Through this humble contribution, we hope to aid the government's ongoing relief and rehabilitation work."
The university continues to encourage its faculty, staff, and students to actively participate in community welfare initiatives, embodying its core values of compassion, service, and resilience.
Desh Bhagat University's management team, comprising Dr. Kulbhushan, Campus Director, Dr. Surinder Pal Kapoor, Registrar and Dr. Prabhjot Singh, Deputy Director of the Nursing College, handed over a cheque of ?5 lakh to SDM Amloh, Shri Chetan Bangar, as a contribution towards flood relief efforts.
