| 100 Years of Glorious Service By RSS | | | Omkar Dattatray
RSS is a socio-cultural organisation and it has nothing to do with politics and is not a political organisation. It took birth hundred years ago in the 1925 on 27th October on the auspicious day of Vijaya Dashmi at Nagpur Maharashtra and it was founded by a great patriot and nationalist Dr. K.B. Hedegwar who was greatly influenced by Savarkar and gave practical shape to this influence by forming RSS. Since then, RSS is at the forefront of service to the nation and it has to its credit 100 years of glorious service to the country. RSS is a nationalistic and patriotic organisation which has remained at the forefront of the service to motherland. RSS believes in the principle and vision as well as practice of nation making from and with the help of man making .It believes in the unity of the society so that the sovereignty ,integrity and unity of the nation is ensured and safeguarded at every cost .It also believes in mam-making ,character-making and last but not the least in nation building education .In all these hundred long years ,the RSS has worked for making nation strong and it goes to the credit of RSS to have provided monitory help and assistance to the countrymen without any distinction of faith at the times of natural calamities and wars as well as national emergencies. Its volunteers have always helped the people in need of service and this voluntary organisation is making sincere efforts to inculcate patriotic spirit discipline and punctuality among the people particularly in the younger generations across the length and breadth of the country. RSS is daily running thousands of Shakas -branches across the country where its activists are trained and educate in patriotism and nationalistic fervour and youth are prepared for social and national service. The formation of the RSS hundred years before was not an entirely new thing but was a newer manifestation of an ancient tradition, where India’s eternal national consciousness expresses itself periodically, in different forms, to face the challenges of the times. Sangh is the embodiment of that timeless national consciousness, It is good for the RSS factioneers as well as for the country that both are witnessing the Sangh’s centenary. The journey of the RSS is full of discipline, dedication, sacrifice and salient service to the motherland. It is in fact a journey of transforming ordinary people into extra-ordinary nation-builders. The daily Shakhas is the unique feature of RSS. This resulted into miracles. There are many differences among Hindus but the RSS’s daily Shakhas eradicated all of them. RSS Shakhs soon performed wonders as Hindus divided by caste began dinning together. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a specially designed commemorative postage stamp and coin highlighting the RSS contribution to the nation. He said the founding of the RSS a century ago reflects the enduring spirit of national consciousness that has risen to meet the challenges of every era. RSS volunteers have been tirelessly devoted to serving the nation and empowering society.PM further said the foundation of a century of RSS work rests on the goal of nation-building, a clear path of personal development and the vibrant practice of the Shakha. Sangh is a symbol of patriotism, service to nation and nation first. RSS marks its centenary on Vijayadashmi, celebrating a century of nation-building, social harmony, and service through its ideals of character-building and service. Modi said human civilizations thrived on the banks of great rivers. Similarly, countless lives have flourished sue to the impact of the Sangh. A river enriches each part of the land that it touches with its waters. Likewise, the Sangh has nourished every part of our nation, every sphere of our society. From its inception, the Sangh has devoted itself to nation-building. To, chieve this, it chose the path of character building. Nation building through character building is the vision and practice of RSS and through it the Sangh has remained in the service of the nation. It, emphasis character building to build the nation and for this noble cause this organisation is burning the flame and spirit of patriotism, nationalism and nation first approach. RSS all these years of its life has been educating, training and making people especially youth aware about the importance of maintaining unity in the society in the face and challenges of caste divisions and it is on the path of freeing country from the vice of casteism and that day will be the great day when India will be purged from casteism and caste divisions. RSS is on the job of inculcating selfless service to nation, enforcing discipline, punctuality and above all unity among the society so that all work for building the nation great so that it will again shine in the world as Vishwa Guru and that occasion will really be epoch making and historical .But the matter of fact is that RSS has been on the job of character making to finally building the nation so that our nation will again become a great nation in the years to come. For attaining this noble work, the RSS is making serious, concerted and daily efforts through its countless Shakhs to inculcate unity, discipline, selfless service to the nation and in fact to create of unified Akhand prachand Bharat which was the dream of the great national hero and Hindu Hardey Samrat Savarkar in whose ’s life flame of Hindutva was burning and who is our torch bearer and inspirer as well as role model. RSS has always helped and served the country at the times of war and national emergency as the second line of defence as its dedicated and selfless activists have regulated traffic during the times of war and performed other important functions in the service of the nation. The patriotic fervour and zeal is in the hearts of the RSS voluntaries’ and they are ever busy in man making, character making and nation making and they devote all their time and energy for the service of the motherland. Unity in the caste ridden society is the mission and vision of the RSS and it is on the path of eradicating casteism and caste divisions in the Hindu society so that the people are armed with the spirit and zeal of patriotism, discipline and selfless service for the nation so that the job of national reconstruction is achieved. To attain this noble task, the Sangh is daily running thousands of Shakhas -branches to inculcate patriotism, selfless service to nation ,discipline and punctuality so that through these qualities our nation is strengthened and we are able to make dedicated & disciplined people and thereby make the nation .The 100 years of selfless service to the nation is a glaring feature of RSS which it has been doing to make the country united and great .As RSS stepped into 101th year it will not only continue its march for empowering and transforming India, but will work with redoubled zeal to make the country great.
