MCM's 'Samarambh' promotes creative sustainability

CHANDIGARH, Oct 10: The Department of Fine Arts at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women organised a two-day skill enhancement workshop titled 'Samarambh'. The workshop aimed to foster artistic innovation and promote eco-friendly creative practices among students. Santosh Verma from Pidilite Industries served as the resource person for the workshop. She conducted an engaging hands-on session on crafting festive-themed bandhanwars and decorative hangings using discarded materials. Students enthusiastically participated in the activity, learning techniques to repurpose waste into functional and aesthetically appealing art pieces. Officiating Principal Neena Sharma appreciated the initiative and applauded the students for their enthusiastic participation and creative ingenuity. She encouraged them to continue exploring sustainable artistic expressions that combine beauty with environmental responsibility.
