CHANDIGARH, Nov 23: The faculty of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women undertook an educational visit to Eco Paryavaran Bhawan, Mohali, gaining a comprehensive and insightful understanding of contemporary environmental management and sustainability practices. Eco Paryavaran Bhawan, a premier institution in the field of environmental conservation, research, and regulatory compliance, holds several prestigious national accreditations, including ISO 9001:2008 Certification and approvals from esteemed bodies such as the Department of Science & Technology (Government of India), Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF), Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB), National Productivity Council (NPC), ISO, EMS, OHSAS, and IPH. During the visit, the faculty members explored state-of-the-art environmental testing laboratories, analytical facilities, and sustainable operational systems. Experts at the centre provided detailed insights into key environmental parameters, pollution control technologies, and compliance procedures adopted across industrial and governmental sectors. The interactive session enriched participants' understanding of environmental protection frameworks and highlighted the importance of adopting sustainable solutions in both academic and community settings. The visit proved to be highly informative, inspiring the faculty to incorporate environmentally responsible practices into their professional and institutional initiatives.
Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma appreciated the efforts of the organising team and encouraged faculty members to engage in more such experiential learning opportunities that foster practical knowledge and strengthen environmental awareness.
