Guiding light for citizens
11/26/2025 10:39:01 PM
The 76th ‘Constitution Day’ reminded the countrymen about the importance of the Constitution that has remained a beacon of equity, liberty and social justice and a guiding light for the citizens of this great nation.
It’s the duty of every Indian to uphold the values of the Constitution. Everyone needs to protect the values that the founding fathers and architects of the Constitution had laid down for the denizens of this land.
The policy makers have to ensure values of the constitution are upheld and rights of the citizens are protected.
The Constitution has paved the way for India’s progress. It has helped in keeping national unity and integrity intact.
The Right to Equality promised by the Constitution is an important ingredient for creating the feeling of self-confidence and self-respect in the society.
It took 67 years for the Centre to implement all the provisions of the Constitution in Jammu and Kashmir. The PM Modi led regime bit the bullet on August 5, 2019, and abrogated Article 370 thus ending the rule of discrimination and injustice.
During the past five years J&K has moved ahead guided by ideals of equity, social and economic justice as enshrined in the Constitution by Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
Any nation is built not by its rulers but by the collective will and participation of its people. The Constitution empowers every Indian to claim their rights, but it simultaneously entrusts them with duties that ensure the protection of national unity and the strengthening of democratic institutions. The founding fathers—under the visionary leadership of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution—crafted a document that wove together the principles of justice, equality, fraternity and liberty. These timeless principles reflect the soul of India, ensuring that every citizen, irrespective of caste, creed, region or religion, enjoys equal opportunities and dignity.
After 2019 every effort has been put in by the PM Modi led regime to improve the lives of citizens, to eradicate discrimination and injustice, eliminate the terror ecosystem and to make sure that the benefit of centrally sponsored schemes reaches the last man in the queue.
By implementing all provisions of the Constitution, the government has ensured honour, pride and dignity for every citizen of J&K.
The Constitution of India is not just a document from the past—it is a living guide for the present and future. It calls upon every Indian to uphold justice, respect diversity, strengthen democracy and remain committed to national unity.
