Anchor aweigh: MRSAFPI cadets Parasdeep & Yuvraj commissioned as Indian Navy Officers

CHANDIGARH, Nov 29: In a proud moment for the state of Punjab, two former cadets of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), SAS Nagar (Mohali) have been commissioned as officers in the Indian Navy at the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Ezhimala, Kerala. The POP, conducted on Saturday, was reviewed by General Anil Chauhan, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, the Chief of Defence Staff.
The two commissioned officers, Parasdeep Singh Khosa and Yuvraj Singh Tomar, have strong educational backgrounds. Parasdeep Singh Khosa, from Faridkot district, comes from a family of educators - his mother is the Principal of GGS Khalsa School, Bhaloor, and his father is the Director of Guru Nanak Mission Girls College, Baghapurana. Yuvraj Singh Tomar, from Jalandhar, also hails from an educational family. His father is the Principal of Dalhousie Public School, and his mother is the co-ordinator and psychologist at the same school. Notably, Yuvraj's younger brother is currently undergoing training at MRSAFPI.
Punjab's Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister, Mr. Aman Arora, extended his warm congratulations to the newly commissioned officers, Parasdeep Singh Khosa and Yuvraj Singh Tomar, applauding their remarkable achievement. He wished them success in their future endeavours, expressing confidence that they will continue to serve the nation with distinction and bring pride to Punjab.
Director of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute Major General Ajay H. Chauhan, VSM (Retd) Major General Ajay H. Chauhan, VSM (Retd), Director of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, congratulated the commissioned officers, stating that with this achievement, a total of 181 cadets, including 22 from the Indian Navy, have been commissioned in armed forces from the institute.
