West Zone Inter-University Volleyball (Men) begins at LNCT

BHOPAL, Dec 11: Under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities, the West Zone Inter-University Volleyball (Men) Tournament 2025-26, organized by LNCT University, Bhopal, commenced with great enthusiasm at the LNCT University Ground, Kolar Road, Bhopal, from 10 to 14 December 2025. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Anupam Chouksey, Chancellor, JNCT Professional University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. N.K. Thapak, Vice-Chancellor, LNCT Group, Pankaj Kumar, R.K. Sharma, Sports Officer TIT, and P.S. Dara Singh, after an introduction to all participating players.
More than 1,800 players from around 140 universities of the West Zone are participating in this prestigious tournament. The enthusiasm, energy, and competitive spirit of the players and officials made the inauguration ceremony vibrant and dignified.
The management of LNCT University has ensured excellent arrangements for all participating teams, coaches, officials, and visitors, ensuring smooth, safe, and successful conduct of the tournament.
On the first day of the five-day tournament, the following matches were played:
Shivaji University, Kolhapur defeated Kranti Suriya Tatya Bhil University, Khargone 3-0.
Gujarat Technical University, Nigam Nagar defeated University, Bhilwara 3-0.
University of Kota defeated Paher University 3-0.
APS University, Rewa defeated SEM Global University, Bhopal 3-0.
Maharaja Sayajirao University defeated Oriental University, Indore 2-0, entering the next round.
The tournament is being broadcast live by Freedom Global Sports Network.
