GDC R S Pura commemorated the Martyrdom of Char Sahibzaade

R S Pura, Dec 26: Department of Punjabi under the aegis of 1QAC commemorated the unparalleled sacrifice of the four brave sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, known as the Chaar Sahibzaade, on the occasion of Bal Veer Diwas. This day serves as a reminder of their courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to their faith and principles in the face of tyranny and oppression.
Dr. Narinder Singh Raina, Hon’ble MLA Jammu South was the Chief guest on the occasion. He highlighted the martyrdom of the Chaar Sahibzaade and emphasized that it remains one of the most poignant chapters in Sikh history and History of Indian Sub-Continent. Their bravery and sacrifice at such tender ages continue to inspire generations worldwide. He further emphasized on the need to organize educational programs, seminars, and community service initiatives to ensure that their sacrifice is remembered and their values are passed on to future generations.
In this connection a series of activities like Poetry Recitation and Guest lecture were organized. There was huge participation of students in poetry recitation activity.
Dr. Harsimran Singh, PG Department Punjabi, University of Jammu was the Resource Person of the Seminar. He called upon individuals and communities to reflect upon the sacrifices made by the Chaar Sahibzaade and draw inspiration from their indomitable spirit.
(Prof.) Dr. Preetpal Kour, Principal of the College in her speech called upon the students to unite in honoring the memory of the Chaar Sahibzaade and strive to uphold the values they stood for.
