Early Times Report
AKHNOOR, Dec 26: Shubh International School celebrated its Annual Day with great enthusiasm, discipline, and cultural vibrancy on the school premises. The programme commenced with a formal welcome of the dignitaries, followed by the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, marking an auspicious beginning to the event.
The function was graced by Mr. Ranvir Singh, President, Akhnoor District Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, as the Chief Guest. SP Rural Jammu Mr. Brijesh Sharma and SHO Akhnoor Mr. Rajesh Jasrotia were present as Special Guests. Among other distinguished guests and prominent supporters of the school were Maa Shaktipeeth Sathar Bunty Ji, Kunwar Shakti Singh, Mohan Singh Jamwal, Avinash Bassan, Vikas Dubey, and Ashok Kumar, who added dignity to the occasion with their presence.
On the same occasion, the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee was observed with deep respect and reverence. Speakers highlighted Atal Ji's visionary leadership, his immense contribution to nation-building, commitment to democratic values, good governance, and national unity. Students were encouraged to draw inspiration from his life, thoughts, and ideals.
Addressing the gathering, the guests lauded the role of Shubh International School in providing quality education while nurturing discipline, moral values, and holistic development among students. They motivated students to strive for excellence not only in academics but also in character building and overall personality development.
The cultural performances presented by the students were the highlight of the programme. The colourful and confident performances beautifully reflected India's rich cultural heritage and captivated the audience, earning widespread appreciation.
Parents were specially appreciated for their continuous support and active involvement in the overall development of their children. The dedication, hard work, and commitment of the teachers and entire teaching staff were also acknowledged for their tireless efforts in shaping a bright future for the students.
While addressing the parents, SP Rural Jammu Mr. Brijesh Sharma made a special appeal to give quality time to their children and keep a close watch on their daily activities. He emphasized that in today's digital era, children should be encouraged to stay away from excessive use of mobile phones, Android TVs, and other digital screens, and instead spend more time with their grandparents. He expressed concern over the growing distance between children and elders, stating that the presence of grandparents plays a vital role in instilling values, culture, and emotional strength in children.
