JAMMU, Dec 28: Bharatiya Janata Party District Jammu South Publicity Secretary Pradeep Sharma, shedding light on the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' campaign, said that its meaning is to make India completely self-reliant for its needs and minimize foreign dependence.
Pradeep Sharma said that 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' is a national mission, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. Its main objective is to strengthen the country's economy and national security by promoting domestic manufacturing, innovation, and local products. He further said that this campaign is focused on comprehensive reforms and schemes in various sectors such as agriculture, industry, defence, science, and technology. 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' means that we adopt indigenous products, strengthen local industries, and make India a strong, prosperous, and globally competitive nation. This will not only create employment but also make our economy self-reliant and resilient. The BJP leader appealed to party workers and the general public to actively contribute to this campaign and cooperate in realizing Prime Minister Modi's vision by prioritizing indigenous products. |
