SSP Reasi conducts security review meeting at Bhawan ahead of New Year

REASI, Dec 28: In view of the heavy rush of pilgrims expected on 31st December and during New Year, SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh-JKPS conducted a comprehensive security review meeting at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan to ensure the safety, security and smooth movement of pilgrims. During the meeting, SSP Reasi directed all concerned officers and agencies to remain highly alert and proactive, keeping in mind the anticipated surge of pilgrims. Special emphasis was laid on effective crowd management to prevent any untoward incident, including stampede-like situations and to regulate rush at sensitive points in and around the Bhawan area.
SSP Reasi further stressed the optimum use of crowd management apps and continuous monitoring through the ICCC (Integrated Command & Control Centre). He directed that the ICCC must remain fully alert to ensure quick response, real-time coordination and timely decision-making for effective crowd control and management. All concerned agencies were instructed to take full precautionary measures and maintain close coordination.
SSP Reasi emphasized that all departments must remain fully prepared to meet any exigency and respond swiftly to any emerging situation.
The meeting was attended by Addl. SP Katra Vipan Chandran-JKPS, DySP Bhawan Mahesh Sharma, DySP (P) Tania Gupta, SHO P/S Bhawan Insp. Parmod Singh, I/C PP Adhkuwari PSI Raghav Chalotra, along with officers from 6th Bn CRPF, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Army, CID, Tehsildar Bhawan, SDM Bhawan, Fire & Emergency Services, ITBP and the Security Wing.
All participating departments assured full cooperation and readiness to ensure a safe, secure and hassle-free pilgrimage for devotees during the peak festive period.
