Punjabi Department and NSS Units organize Veer Bal Diwas with Screening of "Chaar Sahibzaade" under the Aegis of IQAC

JAMMU, Dec 29: The Punjabi Department, in collaboration with the NSS Units, under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized Veer Bal Diwas with great solemnity and patriotic fervour through the screening of the inspirational animated film "Chaar Sahibzaade." The programme was aimed at commemorating the unparalleled courage, sacrifice, and martyrdom of the Sahibzaades of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and at instilling values of bravery, faith, and righteousness among students. The event began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Mamta Rani, Head of the Department of Punjabi, who welcomed the audience and spoke about the historical background of Chaar Sahibzaade. She briefly highlighted the supreme sacrifices made by the four Sahibzaades at a tender age and emphasized the relevance of their martyrdom in contemporary times. She underlined how their lives stand as eternal symbols of courage, moral strength, and unwavering commitment to truth. Addressing the gathering, the Principal of the College appreciated the initiative taken by the Punjabi Department, NSS Units, and IQAC in organizing such a meaningful programme. In her/his remarks, the Principal stated that "Veer Bal Diwas reminds us of the extraordinary valor and spiritual strength of the Sahibzaades. Such programmes play a vital role in sensitizing students towards our rich cultural heritage while nurturing values of patriotism, integrity, and resilience." The Principal further emphasized the importance of value-based education in shaping responsible and compassionate citizens. The screening of Chaar Sahibzaade left a profound emotional impact on the audience, prompting reflection on the timeless ideals of sacrifice, faith, and justice. Students and NSS volunteers actively participated and expressed deep appreciation for the initiative. The programme concluded with an interactive reflection session, reinforcing the institution's commitment to holistic education and the promotion of cultural and moral values among the youth. Among those present on the occasion were Dr Reena Rani, Dr. Deepshikha Sharma, Dr Sunal Sharma, Prof. Esha Abrol, Dr. Vipul Chalotra, Dr. Roomi Rani, Prof. Anju Gotra, Dr. Gagandeep and Dr. Jaspreet. The whole programme was coordinated and managed by Dr. Deepshikha Sharma NSS PO and Dr Mamta Rani HOD Punjabi.
