Healthcare excellence honored at 2nd Edition of VSSSP

JAMMU, Dec 29: To celebrate the unwavering dedication and humanitarian spirit of the medical fraternity, the People’s Hut Foundation, Jammu and Kashmir’s leading national NGO, hosted the 2nd Edition of the “Vishisht Swasthya Sewa Sammaan Puruskar 2025”. The prestigious ceremony took place at Ujala Cygnus JK Medicity, Jammu, bringing together healthcare leaders, distinguished guests, and medical achievers and was organized by People’s Hut Foundation.
The awards serve as a platform to recognize professionals who exemplify the core values of care, compassion, and empathy. By honoring these “Healthcare Superheroes,” the People’s Hut Foundation aims to encourage continued excellence in a sector that forms the backbone of the nation’s development.
The event was graced by Dr. Arvind Karwani, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), Jammu and Kashmir, who served as the Chief Guest. Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Relief (M), attended as the Guest of Honour. The ceremony which was a Celebration of Merit and Compassion commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Rohit Koul, Director and CEO of People’s Hut Foundation. He emphasized that the winners have not only elevated the standards of their profession but have also brought global accolades to the nation.
Chief Guest Dr. Arvind Karwani lauded the awardees during his keynote address” A huge congratulation to all the award recipients; you have definitely set a very admiring benchmark for excellence in the medical profession. I hope you will continue to achieve further brilliance in your respective spheres.”
While as the Guest of Honour Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma added “Dedicated doctors and paramedical staff like today’s winners are responsible for the continuous growth and development of India. I extend special thanks to Team People’s Hut Foundation for celebrating the sheer hard work and perseverance of healthcare providers.”
