“Youth Take to the streets in Udhampur against Drug Abuse” LFO-BHF

Udhampur, Dec 30: In a strong collective stand against drug abuse, youth in Udhampur participated in a rally and street play (nukkad natak) aimed at spreading awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse and encouraging healthy, positive lifestyles.
The awareness programme was organised under the theme “LokRang” with the objective of motivating young people to stay away from drugs and to actively engage in sports and constructive social activities. The event was organised by Live For Others – Being Helping Foundation in collaboration with Talla Jewellers, Udhampur Official, Udhampur and In sponsorship with Dj Crush, The Gym, Manad Super speciality Hospital, Mama Kulcha and The Kalari Factory Udhampur.
The event starts with an awareness rally which also include the street play served as a powerful medium to convey the message in an impactful and relatable manner.
The rally was flagged off from Domail Chowk by Sub-Inspector Arvind Gupta. It passed through the main market areas and concluded at the Open Theatre premises near Devika, where the main awareness activities were held.
During the programme, participants pledged to stay away from drugs, promote a drug-free society, and take responsibility for social change.
Event was being hosted by Ms. Stuti Abrol and Mr. Prashant Khajuria, who started the cultural evening with the lightening of the lamp in the presence of Sh. Jai Singh Tehsildar Udhampur as Chief Guest, Sh. Prehlad Sharma DySP Udhampur as Guest of Honour & Sh. Jasvir Singh, DDC Panchari- Moungri as Special Guest and various other dignitaries were also present.
Youth artists performed a compelling street play highlighting the dangers of drug addiction and the importance of making the right choices in life. The performance received appreciation from the public and effectively communicated the message of a drug-free future.
Mr. Vivek Parihar (Director & CEO, LFO-BHF) stated that such initiatives are crucial in guiding the youth towards positive paths and strengthening community participation in the fight against drug menace. The programme concluded with a call for collective efforts from all sections of society to make the anti-drug campaign successful. Team LFO-BHF, team udhampur official, team in udhampur, students from schools and colleges and locals participated in the event with great energy.
