Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 30: Education is the most powerful force for empowering growth and ensuring a life of dignity, said Balbir Ram Rattan, while interacting with colleagues from his party on the importance of education.
Balbir Ram Rattan, BJP spokesperson and former Vice Chairman, described education as the cornerstone of individual as well as national progress, stressing that its impact extends far beyond classrooms, textbooks, and examinations.
He underlined that education lays the foundation for confidence, self-reliance, and ethical living.
He said that education shapes thinking, strengthens character, and enables individuals to live with self-respect.
According to him, educated individuals are better equipped to understand their responsibilities, make informed decisions, and contribute meaningfully to society.
Highlighting the challenges of the modern era, Balbir Ram Rattan observed that rapid technological advancements and growing global competition have made education more vital than ever. Continuous learning, he said, is essential for acquiring new skills, adapting to change, and remaining relevant in evolving professional and social environments.
Education empowers individuals to overcome obstacles and convert challenges into opportunities for growth, he added.
Emphasizing its role in promoting equality and social harmony, Balbir Ram Rattan pointed out that access to quality education helps bridge social and economic gaps, enabling people from all backgrounds to progress with dignity.
He said that an educated society is more aware, tolerant, and capable of resolving issues through dialogue rather than conflict.
Calling for a broader outlook, he urged people to view education as a lifelong journey rather than merely a means to employment. He also appealed to elders within families to motivate children to focus on education, nurture curiosity, and develop strong values that guide them throughout life.
He also appealed to society to place education at the center of all development efforts. When education empowers growth, it naturally ensures a life of dignity, self-respect, and purpose. A nation that invests in education invests in a stronger, more inclusive, and brighter future for all, he said.
