Thalassaemic Charitable Trust welcomes New Year 2026

Chandigarh, Jan 2: Thalassaemic Charitable Trust (TCT) began the new year with a ceremony at the office of the Hon’ble Director, PGIMER Chandigarh, Prof(Dr) Vivek Lal by presenting Bouquet of flower. Dr. Vivek Lal welcomed Sh. Rajinder Kalra-Member Secretary, Sh. AP Singh, Sr. Vice-President, Sh. ML Gandhi, Executive Member and staff of TCT with open arms and offered words of appreciation for TCT’s ongoing working.
Dr. Lal highlighted and discussed the long-standing dedication of Sh.Rajinder Kalra towards thalassaemic patients, praised TCTs unwavering commitment.
As part of the celebration, TCT extended an invitation to Prof. (Dr.) Sadhna Lal, Head of the Department of Paediatric Gastroenterology & Hepatology, PGIMER Chandigarh, to grace the occasion. She joined the cake-cutting ceremony along with her team of doctors and was warmly welcomed with bouquets, followed by a high- tea. During her address, Dr. Sadhna Lal highly appreciated the outstanding and selfless contributions of Sh. Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary, acknowledging his unwavering dedication to serving humanity since 1990. She delivered a highly commendatory speech to the assembled doctors, emphasizing the importance of compassion, selfless service, and commitment towards the welfare of society.
Subsequently, thoughtful gifts were also distributed among the thalassaemic patients undergoing blood transfusion in the TCT Ward, spreading joy, encouragement, and a sense of care during their treatment.
As part of the celebration, TCT was also invited by the Indian Red Cross Society, UT Chandigarh, at their office, Karuna Sadan, Chandigarh.
