Desh Bhagat University organizes Grand Book Release Function

MANDI GOBINDGARH, Jan 3: The Publication Bureau of Desh Bhagat University successfully organized a Book Release Function, which emerged as a momentous academic event for the university.
The programme witnessed the august presence of eminent academicians and distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Zora Singh, Hon'ble Chancellor, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Amarjit Singh, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Buta Singh, Pro Vice-Chancellor (RIC).
The event was further enriched by the presence of the Esteemed Special Chief Guest, Prof. Arun K. Grover, Former Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh and the Chief Guest, Prof. Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Vice-Chancellor, Maharaja Agrasen University.
The proceedings formally began with Dr. Navisha, Assistant Coordinator, Ph.D. Thesis to Book Section, Publication Bureau, who anchored the programme.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Renu Sharma, who highlighted the vision, objectives, and academic significance of the Publication Bureau in promoting scholarly writing, research dissemination, and a strong publication culture within the university. Dr. Arti, In-charge of the Publication Bureau, presented a comprehensive report on the achievements of the Book Section. Dr. Sukhpal Kaur, Coordinator of the Research Journal Section, shared detailed insights into The Quintessential Journal and other research journals published by various university departments. Dr. Hemraj, Coordinator of the Lab Manual Section, emphasized the academic importance and practical relevance of the laboratory manuals developed under the aegis of the Publication Bureau.
Dr. Amarjit Singh, Pro Vice-Chancellor, shared valuable insights into the journey, challenges and persistent efforts involved in establishing and strengthening the Publication Bureau. Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Prof. Rakesh Kumar Gupta congratulated Desh Bhagat University on its commendable achievements and stressed the crucial role of publication bureaus in enhancing academic excellence and institutional visibility. Special Chief Guest Prof. Arun K. Grover delivered an enlightening address on the history of publication in India and underscored the significance of institutional publications in building academic credibility and global reputation.
A major highlight of the event was the unveiling and release of books, research journals, and lab manuals by the dignitaries, symbolizing the collective academic accomplishments of the Publication Bureau. During the felicitation ceremony, Dr. Darshana, Co-Coordinator of the Ph.D. Thesis to Book Section, presented a series of books for release. In total, six books, one lab manual, and one research journal (symbolic launch) were officially released during the programme.
The ceremony concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Ajay Gupta, Coordinator of the Ph.D. Thesis to Book Section, who expressed sincere gratitude.
