| DC reviews Road Projects; all agenda points discussed, cleared | | |  Early Times Report
POONCH, Jan 3: A review meeting was held today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma to discuss issues related to NH-144A and R-T-S Road works, as per the scheduled agenda.
All agenda points were discussed in detail and were duly cleared by the Deputy Commissioner.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner took a serious view of delays affecting project progress and strictly ordered the immediate clearance of the acquired Right of Way (RoW). The DC categorically directed that in case of non-compliance, strict action shall be initiated against the concerned agencies/individuals.
Further, clear directions were issued to the concerned departments for shifting of utilities along NH-144A within the stipulated time frame to avoid any hindrance to ongoing and proposed works.
The Deputy Commissioner also issued strict instructions for demolition and removal of obstructing structures at Kala-Nallah on the R-T-S Road, emphasizing that no obstruction hampering road construction and public safety will be tolerated.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that all concerned departments must ensure time-bound compliance of the directions issued in the meeting, failing which accountability will be fixed as per rules.
The administration remains committed to timely completion of infrastructure projects in the larger public interest and to ensuring smooth and safe connectivity in the district. |
