Early Times Report
POONCH, Jan 3: The Ace of Spades Division, under the aegis of the White Knight Corps of the Indian Army, has launched a National Integration Tour (NIT) for students of Degree College Poonch from January 3 to January 12, 2026. This initiative aims to promote national integration, instil awareness about India's heritage and empower youth from the border district.
The tour will begin in New Delhi, where students will explore India's political, cultural and military landscapes. Notable activities include a meeting with the Hon'ble President of India, a visit to the National War Memorial, the Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya, and attending the Republic Day Parade rehearsal with NCC cadets, allowing them to witness national traditions and the youth's role in nation-building. The students will also visit Agra to experience India's architectural grandeur, with a visit to the Taj Mahal, followed by a trip to Amritsar. There, they will visit the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and witness the Wagah Border ceremony, reinforcing their understanding of patriotism, sacrifice and cultural unity.
This National Integration Tour offers the students invaluable exposure to India's democratic values, history, and national security ethos. Designed to expand their perspectives, the initiative aims to foster leadership qualities and motivate them to contribute to the nation's growth.
The tour highlights the Indian Army's commitment to empowering youth and promoting national integration. Through this initiative, the Poonch Brigade is helping bridge the emotional gap between students from border areas and the rest of the country, nurturing a sense of pride, confidence and belonging among the youth.
