Early Times Report POONCH, Jan 3: The Poonch Brigade under the aegis of Ace of Spade Division of White Knight Corps flagged off the National Integration Tour from Poonch to Delhi and Amritsar on 03 January from the ALG Ground, Poonch. The tour was formally flagged off by Brig Sachindra Joshi, VSM, Commander, Poonch Brigade. The National Integration Tour is being organised with the objective of broadening the educational and cultural exposure of young students from border areas. A total of 22 students including 13 Boys & 09 Girls along with 02 Teachers from Shri Krishan Chander Government Degree College, Poonch are participating in the tour, which is scheduled from 03 to 12 January. During the visit, the delegation will have the honour of meeting the Honourable President of India, witnessing Republic Day parade practice, and visiting prominent national and historical landmarks including the National War Memorial, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Golden Temple, along with other places of cultural and national importance in Delhi and Amritsar. The initiative aims to familiarise college students with India's rich cultural diversity and create awareness about the wide range of academic and career opportunities available to them after completing their higher education. The students and accompanying teachers expressed great enthusiasm and excitement at the flag-off ceremony, highlighting the positive impact and relevance of such outreach programmes. |
