| Swift action against food safety violations by Police, Food Safety Department | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 3: Jammu Police conducted a routine checking drive as part of its continued efforts to enforce food safety norms and protect public health. During the inspection, non-vegetarian food items were found being transported in a vehicle lacking mandatory insulation, constituting a serious violation of prescribed food safety standards. Taking immediate cognizance of the lapse, the Food Safety Designated Officer was called to the spot for on-site inspection and initiation of legal action as per established procedures. Dy. Commissioner Food Safety Shri Madan Magotra, along with Jammu Police team led by SHO Bus Stand Inderpal Singh promptly reached the location and carried out necessary proceedings in close coordination with police authorities. Jammu Police reaffirms its firm commitment to ensuring public health, strict enforcement of food safety regulations, and zero tolerance towards any practices that may compromise the safety and well-being of citizens. |
