Jammu, Jan 9: Tawi Welfare Society strongly and unequivocally condemns the recent attacks on the Hindu community in Bangladesh, including the burning of homes and properties and the brutal killing of Hindu businessmen. Such barbaric acts against a peaceful minority community are deeply disturbing and a grave violation of basic human rights and humanitarian values. In a meeting held today the Society Members expressed serious concern over the deteriorating safety and security of Hindu families in Bangladesh. The members unanimously resolved to urge the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the Government of India to take stern and decisive steps to ensure the protection of Hindus and other minorities facing targeted violence. The Society strongly feels that India cannot remain a mute spectator while atrocities are being committed against our Hindu brethren in a neighbouring country. If Hindus are being systematically targeted and are not safe in such nations, a serious review of India’s continued support and assistance to such regimes becomes necessary. Tawi Welfare Society appeals to the Government of India to raise this grave issue at all appropriate international platforms and adopt strong diplomatic, economic, and strategic measures to convey a clear message that violence against minorities will not be tolerated. The time has come for firm action to deter such acts and ensure that future generations remember the consequences of intolerance and brutality. |
