Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 9: BJP Publicity Secretary District Jammu Pradeep Sharma said that some radical groups sitting in different parts of the world are radicalizing innocent youth online. In such a situation, experts suggest some effective measures to deal with this threat while maintaining civil liberties. He said that in recent years, the internet has emerged as a double-edged sword, serving as a powerful medium for education, social engagement and civic participation, while also serving as an efficient tool for radicalization. India, with its vast, young and rapidly growing digital population, remains particularly vulnerable to online recruitment and radicalization efforts. He said that radical content is not limited to a single ideology, but the increasing misuse of religious identity by extremist networks has increased the need for a balanced response that combines cybersecurity, community outreach, legal safeguards and platform accountability. |
