USTA celebrated Savitri Bhai Phule Birthday

Jammu, Jan 11: United School Teachers association (USTA) affiliated with School Teachers federation of India( STFI) celebrated Birth anniversary of Savitri Bhai Phule at Marble Market Jammu with great fervour and anxiety.
The Teachers from various districts like Kathua ,Samba , Jammu ,Kishtwar, Srinagar etc remembering Savitri Bhai Phule as the great educationist , as first female student , as first female Teacher and as first women social reformer of India . Programme started to offered flowers to Savitri Bhai Phule . Many of them had delivered lectures on the life history and contribution of Savitri Bhai Phule .
The President of the forum, Pardeep Singh Jamwal told the members to work on the lines of the great supporter of humanism especially supporter of women . Sunil Thapa highlighted the details history of Savitri bhai Phule. He spoke in his speech that Savitri Bhai Phule faced so many hardels in her life to eradicate social evils such as Child Marriage, Girls Education , Sati Pratha etc .
Smt. Sonia Devi Jamwal requested teachers and Society to promote Girls Education so that they can too touch the heights of the sky. Janab Bashir Ahmad wani spoke in his speech that Savitri Bhai opened India's first school for girls in Pune in 1848 , championing women’s education and challenging caste discrimination and child marriage . rateraddressed in her message that Savitri bhai Phule faced severe opposition , including physical harassment , but persevered , becoming a symbol of women’s empowerment and a foundational figure in India's feminist movement . Roop Chand general Secretary on behalf of all members thanked the participants for organising such a marvellous.
