Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 12: To review and approve the various cases of Legal Gaurdianship Deputy Commissioner, Samba Ayushi Sudan chaired a meeting with the local level committee of Samba in her office chamber, here. The meeting was attended by Founder Muskan Foundation (SNAC J&K), Parveen Sangral, along with the District Social Welfare Officer, medical experts, advocates, and families of the applicants. During the proceedings, the Local Level Committee meticulously reviewed 14 individual cases, following a thorough evaluation of the requirements and medical assessments, the committee approved 12 cases, granting official legal guardianship to provide essential protection and decision-making authority for individuals with disabilities. The remaining two cases were returned to the applicants with specific instructions to complete pending medical documentation, ensuring that all approvals strictly adhere to national safety and welfare protocols. Addressing the committee, Ayushi Sudan emphasized that these meetings must be held on a quarterly basis to prevent any backlog and ensure timely support for vulnerable citizens. She also directed the relevant departments to launch extensive awareness drives to educate the public about the role of the Local Level Committee and the importance of legal guardianship. Reaffirming her commitment to the cause, the DC promised full administrative cooperation to SNAC J&K to enhance accessibility and empower the specially-abled community across the district. |
