Grand Commencement of Shrimad Bhagwat Saptah Gyan Yagya held

Jammu, Jan 14: A divine confluence of spirituality and devotion was witnessed today at the premises of Shri Shri Mahakali Temple (Shri Kala Mata Temple), Talab Tillo, Jammu. Under the sacred guidance and patronage of Shri Shri 108 Swami Mahadev Giri Ji Maharaj (Mahant, Shri Kala Mata Temple), the Shrimad Bhagwat Saptah Gyan Yagya commenced with great religious fervor. The ritualistic proceedings began with a grand and massive ‘Kalash Yatra,’ in which a large number of devotees participated to seek spiritual blessings. The Katha (spiritual discourse) will be held daily from January 15 to January 21, 2026, between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
The auspicious Kalash Yatra saw the presence of several eminent spiritual personalities and dignitaries, including Shri Krishnanand Bharti Ji, Swami Sarvanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj from Peerkho, Katha Vyas Acharya Abhishek, Mahant Som Das Shastri, Acharya Surinder Khajuria, and Swami Basant Giri Ji. Additionally, social activist and Chairman of Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra, also marked his presence in this religious congregation.
Highlighting the significance of the event, Mahant Shri Shri 108 Swami Mahadev Giri Ji Maharaj stated that the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha is not merely a discourse to be heard, but a living Ganges of knowledge that leads life toward the righteous path. He remarked that in this age of Kali Yuga, listening to the glories of the Lord is the sole means of attaining mental peace and salvation. Granting his blessings, Swamiji added that such spiritual gatherings infuse positive energy into society and provide a new direction to humanity.
Expressing his devotion on the occasion, social activist and Chairman of Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra, said that Shri Shri Mahakali Temple has always been a center of spiritual awakening. He noted that this Yagya, organized under the leadership of Swami Mahadev Giri Ji Maharaj, would prove highly beneficial for the peace and prosperity of the region. Extending a humble invitation to the public, he said, “I cordially invite all the residents of Jammu to join this Gyan Yagya in large numbers, listen to the holy discourse, and seek the blessings of the Almighty to enrich their lives.
