JAMMU, Jan 15: The cultural landscape of Jammu has been enriched with the release of a soul-stirring new Dogri song titled "KOI REES NAIYO JAMMU SHAIHR DI," an artistic tribute that celebrates the unparalleled charm and spirit of the City of Temples. The grand unveiling was performed by Dr. Koushal Kumar Sharma (JKPS), Senior Superintendent of Police PCR Jammu (Promoted to DIG), alongside prominent Social Activist and Chairman of the Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra.
This musical masterpiece brings together an extraordinary ensemble of talent. Sung by the melodic Ashok Kumar, the song features evocative lyrics by RL Bhardwaj and a rhythmic composition by Nirbhay Slathia. The musical arrangement, handled by Dr. V Kaith, provides a contemporary yet traditional backdrop to the visuals directed by Ravi. The project is further elevated by a stellar starcast including Sapna Soni, Subash Jamwal, and Basant Beyogi, and features special appearances by legendary cultural icons such as Padmashree Romalo Ram, Subash Brahmanu, and Jeevan Pahadi.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Koushal Kumar Sharma emphasized the vital role of art in maintaining the social fabric of the region. "Music is a universal language that bridges gaps and fosters a sense of pride in one's roots," he remarked. "This song, 'KOI REES NAIYO JAMMU SHAIHR DI,' perfectly captures the essence of our beloved Jammu. It is heartening to see our local artists producing work of such high caliber that not only entertains but also preserves the rich Dogra heritage for future generations. I congratulate the entire team for their dedication to our cultural identity."
Keshav Chopra, Chairman of the Samvedna Society, shared his enthusiasm for the project's local impact. "Our society thrives when we celebrate who we are," Chopra stated. "This initiative is more than just a music video; it is a testament to the talent brewing within our hills and plains. By showcasing the beauty of Jammu through this vibrant medium, the creators have given a gift to every resident of this city. We must continue to support such artistic endeavors that promote our local language and traditions."
Singer Ashok Kumar, expressed his deep appreciation for the support received during the production. "I am profoundly grateful to Dr. Koushal Kumar Sharma and Sh. Keshav Chopra for graced us with their presence and for their constant encouragement of the arts," Kumar said.
