Chandigarh, Jan15: The Ayurvedic kadha prepared by the National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula has emerged as a strong health shield for patients suffering from cough, cold, fever, and viral infections during the winter season. The kadha is not only boosting the body’s immunity but is also proving effective in preventing seasonal illnesses. Under the aegis of the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur (a deemed university) and functioning under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, the National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula—located at the Mata Mansa Devi Complex—is distributing the kadha free of cost to patients under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Sharma. Patients visiting the OPD, along with their attendants, are consuming the kadha to strengthen their immunity. Along with medical consultation, the kadha is being provided free of cost in both OPD and IPD services. Prepared from Ayurvedic medicines, the kadha has been found effective in providing relief from cold and cough, while also strengthening public trust in Ayurveda. Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS) Dr. Gaurav Garg said that during the winter season, the health of elderly people, children, women suffering from serious ailments, and patients with respiratory diseases such as asthma is adversely affected. Their immunity weakens, making them more vulnerable to cold, cough, flu, and fever. The free kadha being distributed by the institute is proving significant in enhancing immunity and preventing seasonal diseases. |
