Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 16: Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General Armed J&K chaired a preparatory meeting at Armed Police Headquarters to review and finalize the arrangements for the 2nd All India Police Kabbadi Cluster 2025-26. The national level sporting event, which is scheduled to be held from March 07-12,2026 at Jammu will feature competitions for both men and women in Kabaddi, Gymnastics, Fencing and Kho-Kho. Emphasis was placed on effective inter-departmental coordination, logistical preparedness, security arrangements, accommodation, transportation, medical facilities and overall event management to ensure successful conduct of the event. During the deliberations, Jain emphasised the importance of showcasing the organisational capabilities of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, while ensuring a safe, disciplined and competitive atmosphere for sportspersons from across the country. He directed all concerned officers to strictly adhere to prescribed timelines and maintain close coordination with the organising committees to ensure seamless execution of the event. Detailed discussions were held on venue readiness, ceremonial arrangements, hospitality, sports infrastructure, communication systems and emergency response mechanisms. The medical preparedness plan, including the deployment of on-site medical teams and ambulance services, was also reviewed to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and officials.
