| Police foil illegal transportation of bovine animals | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Jan 16: In a continued drive to enforce the law and prevent illegal activities, a police party from Behramgala today intercepted 02 vehicles involved in illegal transportation of bovine animals during a naka checking operation. Today during routine naka checking at Sailan-Bonikhet area, the police party intercepted two Tata Mobile vehicles bearing registration numbers JK11-8812 and JK11B-0711. Upon inspection, it was found that the vehicles were illegally transporting bovine animals without valid permission or requisite documents. During the operation, 07 bovine animals were rescued. Both the vehicles along with the rescued animals were taken into custody. Accordingly, an FIR has been registered at Police Station Surankote and further investigation is underway to take appropriate action under the relevant provisions of law.
