J&K Taekwondo association to host 28th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2025-26

Jammu, Jan 18: J&K Taekwondo Association is proud to announce the 28th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2025-26, scheduled to be held on 19th and 22nd January 2026 at the Indoor Hall, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu under the esteemed initiative “MY YOUTH MY PRIDE”. The championship will be conducted under the aegis of the Taekwondo Federation of India and the J&K Sports Council (JKSC).
The Championships is open to Sub Junior Boys and Girls, aged between 8 & 11 Years (Born between 01/01/2014 and 31/12/2018), Cadet (B&G) aged between 12 & 14 Years (Born between 01/01/2011 & 31/12/2013), Junior (B&G) aged between 15 & 17 Years (Born between 01/01/2008 & 31/12/2010) & Senior (M&F) aged above 17 years (Born before 31-12-2007) on the year 2025 are eligible.
In addition to this, the JKTA Athlete License and JKSC registration are mandatory for all the athletes to participate in above said Championships. Those players are eligible to take part in the above-mentioned events who have participated in their concerned District Taekwondo Championships 2025-26. Only 2 athletes in each category from a district association are eligible to participate.
Eligibility for Sub-Junior (Boys & Girls) is Holders of JKTA Green Belt & above, Eligibility for Cadet (Boys & Girls) is Holders of JKTA Green 1 Belt & above, Eligibility for Junior (Male & Female) is Holders of Kukkiwon 1st Dan & above, Eligibility for Senior (Male & Female) is Holders of Kukkiwon 1st Dan & above, as per the guidelines set by the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI). The decision to host the event was finalized in a meeting chaired by Mr. Rajesh Pangotra, President of J&K Taekwondo Association, along with other office bearers of the association.

Registration: 19th January 2026 (registration will Close at 6:00 PM)
Weigh-in Timing & Date: 19th January 2026 at 3:00 PM sharp.
Venue for Registration & Weigh In: Indoor Hall, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.
Mandatory Documents:
Complete registration forms, Copy of Aadhaar card, Copy of D.O.B, Copy of Belt Certificate, Copy of JKTA License & Copy of District Taekwondo Championship Certificate 2025-26.
Date of Birth Certificate (issued by the Municipality or concerned Sarpanch).
