IEEE JUIT student branch successfully concludes flagship event R&D 2026

SOLAN, Jan 21: The IEEE JUIT Student Branch successfully organized its flagship technical event, R&D, from January 16-18, 2026 at Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan. The three-day event was meticulously planned with the objective of promoting innovation, research-oriented thinking, and collaborative problem-solving among students, in alignment with IEEE's global mission of advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. The event provided a comprehensive platform for students to engage in a wide range of technical and intellectual activities, including expert-led sessions, panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and competitive events. R&D aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical implementation by exposing participants to real-world challenges and emerging technological trends.
A key highlight of the event was the expert panel discussion, featuring distinguished industry professionals Mr. Ganessh Jha, CEO and Co-founder at FinoFii.and Mrs. Deepali Gulati; Empowerment Coach, Women Entrepreneur, Mentor at SACC, and Co-founder & CMO. Their insightful sessions provided students with valuable perspectives on entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and the evolving technological landscape, inspiring participants to think beyond conventional academic boundaries. With a diverse set of events encompassing cybersecurity sessions, coding and web development competitions, IoT-based activities, and interactive team events, the program ensured holistic technical and professional development. The structured format of the event encouraged critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and leadership skills among participants.
The successful execution of R&D 2026 witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across multiple disciplines and received positive feedback from both participants and faculty members.
The event significantly contributed to strengthening the technical culture on campus and reaffirmed the IEEE JUIT Student Branch's commitment to fostering excellence, innovation.
