ADG Armed conducts comprehensive review of IRP 15th Battalion; Assesses Infrastructure and Operational Readiness

JAMMU, Jan 21: Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General (Armed), J&K, today visited the Headquarters of IRP 15th Battalion at Gulshan Ground, Jammu, to conduct a comprehensive review of the unit's infrastructure and assess its operational preparedness. He was accompanied by Vinod Kumar, IPS, DIG IRP Jammu, and Rajinder Singh, SSP APCR Jammu.
Upon arrival, Jain was accorded a ceremonial Guard of honour by a contingent of IRP 15th Battalion. He carried out a detailed inspection of the battalion campus, including the Battalion Kot, Mess, MT Fleet, Equipment Store, and the Main Office.
During the visit, He inaugurated the CCTV Control Room, Duty Officer Room, and Malkhana (MHC), and inspected various sections of the unit. He also interacted with the Archery Team players and issued necessary instructions regarding equipment and preparations for forthcoming events. He was briefed on the ongoing construction works within the battalion premises and took note of the progress achieved so far.
While addressing the Darbar, personnel raised various issues pertaining to their service and welfare. The ADG assured them that all genuine grievances would be addressed on priority.He lauded the women contingent for their impressive weapon drill and appreciated the positive changes taking place within the battalion. He directed officers to sustain and further improve such standards.
The ADG also cautioned the personnel about the growing menace of drug abuse and emphasized the need for constant vigilance. He stressed that proactive measures must be taken to curb drug abuse not only during official duties but also within homes and social surroundings, and that timely and appropriate action should be initiated wherever required.
The ADG further underscored the importance of training women personnel in office management and other functional sections, emphasized strict adherence to traffic rules, and suggested the inclusion of women staff in the MT section.
Sargun Shukla, IPS, Commandant IRP 15th Battalion, along with other officers, were present on the occasion.
