R S Pura police booked hardcore criminal under PSA

R S Pura, Jan 25: Acting tough against criminals/gangsters,Jammu Police today on 25.01.2026 booked the hardcore criminal/gangster from R.S Pura area under PSA and lodged him in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
The hardcore criminal namely Sandeep Kumar @ Shotu S/o Tarsem Lal R/o Chak Aslam Tehsil R.S Pura District Jammu has been booked under PSA after obtaining formal detention orders from the District Magistrate, Jammu. The booked hardcore criminal has been subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention here that multiple FIR’s are already registered against the above mentioned criminal in Jammu District.
The above said notorious criminal has remained successful every time in securing the bails from the Hon’ble Court and in order to refrain the subject from indulging in criminal activities, a dossier under stringent PSA was recommended against the subject, upon which, the District Magistrate Jammu, after getting satisfied issued a PSA warrant against him vide order No.02 of 2026 dated 24-01-2025.
The arrest was made by a team of P/S R.S Pura headed by SHO Police Station S R.S Pura under the close supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura & SP Headquarters Jammu.
The locals of the area have highly appreciated the efforts of the Jammu Police in curbing criminal activities in the area.
Jammu Police is committed to ensure safety, security of people and all necessary measures are being taken to curb all the criminal activities including drug peddlers and organised crime in the region.
