LG reaffirms Collective Promise
1/25/2026 10:20:08 PM
In his message on the eve of 77th Republic Day, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha praised Jammu and Kashmir Policemen for uncovering a nationwide terror network last October- November and preventing several attacks in time. He also termed ‘Operation Sindoor’ as turning point in India’s national security doctrine.
LG Sinha described J&K policemen as India’s true heroes saying, “I am proud of them.” By calling them India’s “true heroes,” the Lieutenant Governor underscored a crucial truth: the foundations of peace and harmony rest on the courage, vigilance, and sacrifice of those guarding the nation. The armed forces, paramilitary units, and the J&K Police operate in high-risk environments, often away from public view, yet their actions determine whether citizens live in fear or security. Their dedication reflects the spirit of the Republic—duty, discipline, and devotion to the greater good.
Terming ‘Operation Sindoor’ as turning point in India’s national security doctrine, LG Sinha said that India made it unequivocally clear that any terrorist attack on its soil would be treated as an act of war. Operation Sindoor was not merely a military action.
The military action against the terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK was carried out to avenge April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 civilians, mostly tourists dead. It was a declaration of India’s strategic resolve that no terror attack will be tolerated on the Indian soil and anyone who dares to bleed the citizens of our country will have to face the consequences.
LG Sinha’s emphasis that Operation Sindoor was more than a military action is particularly significant. It represented a declaration of India’s strategic resolve—an assertion that terror will not be normalized, tolerated, or forgotten. The operation reinforced the principle that justice for victims is not just a moral obligation, but a national priority.
LG Sinha commended the exemplary courage and professionalism of Army and other forces who eliminated three Pakistani terrorists involved in the Pahlagam terror attack and delivered justice for the dignity of mothers and sisters.
As the nation marks its 77th Republic Day, LG Sinha’s message serves as a reminder that freedom is safeguarded not only by constitutional ideals, but by the courage of those who defend them. In saluting our security forces, we also reaffirm a collective promise: that terrorism will never define our future, and that the Republic will stand firm—united, resilient, and resolute.
