‘Naya Savera’ in J&K
1/27/2026 10:10:06 PM
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in his Republic Day speech listed the achievements of the government, paid rich tributes to martyrs and victims of terrorism, natural calamities and thanked the armed forces for protecting the country.
He said a “Naya Savera” (new dawn) has broken out in Jammu and Kashmir, with strong measures taken to eliminate terrorism and provide comprehensive support to families affected by terror-related violence. He announced that all pending terrorism-related killing cases will be re-examined to ensure justice. Saluting the courage and bravery of security forces, LG Sinha said, “ Operation Sindoor sent a clear message to the world that terrorism will not be tolerated under any circumstances.”
LG Sinha also highlighted the steps that have been taken during the past few years to put Jammu and Kashmir on the path of peace and prosperity.
His speech touched every aspect of Jammu and Kashmir and he made it clear that all efforts will be put to ensure that the Union Territory scales new heights.
LG Sinha relied on facts and figures to put across his points. He sent a message that terrorists and their supporters won’t be spared and the victims of terrorism will be provided all the possible help.
The Lieutenant Governor attempted to ground his claims in measurable outcomes rather than rhetoric. Infrastructure development, welfare delivery, economic revival, and improvements in public services were presented as evidence that stability and progress can go hand in hand.
LG Sinha’s reference to a “Naya Savera” in Jammu and Kashmir reflects the administration’s claim that a turning point has been reached. He credited strong counter-terrorism measures and comprehensive support to terror-affected families as key pillars of this transformation. His emphasis on Operation Sindoor as a decisive message to the world—asserting that terrorism will not be tolerated under any circumstances—underscored a hardened national security posture and a zero-tolerance approach to terror networks and their enablers.
LG Sinha’s Republic Day speech projected confidence, determination, and optimism. It reaffirmed the government’s commitment to justice, security, and development, while seeking to inspire hope among the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The promise of a “Naya Savera” now rests not only on speeches, but on sustained action, credible reforms, and the collective will to ensure that peace, prosperity, and justice become permanent realities for the region.
