JAMMU, Jan 27: On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day of the Republic of India, celebrated at the Embassy of India in Tokyo in 2026, a proud and memorable moment was witnessed when Yoga Guru Dr. Karan was felicitated on stage by Ms. Nagma Mohamed Mallick, Ambassador-designate of India to Japan, representing the Government of India.
On this prestigious occasion, Dr. Karan also presented a ceremonial gift as a mark of deep respect and gratitude to the Honorable Ambassador. The day held special significance, reflecting Dr. Karan's lifelong commitment and dedication to serving the nation and promoting India's timeless wisdom across the globe.
Born in Jammu, India, Dr. Karan has devoted his life to spreading Indian Yoga, Ayurveda, and cultural values at the international level. His efforts to connect global communities with Indian culture have been truly remarkable and will always be remembered as a commendable contribution to the nation.
Actively working in alignment with the vision and spirit of the Government of India, Dr. Karan is promoting the ancient science of Indian Yoga worldwide. These overseas initiatives are being organized to commemorate the completion of 150 days of "Vande Mataram" celebrations, spreading the message of yoga, wellness, peace, and India's rich cultural heritage across the world.
After successfully conducting yoga classes in several cities across Japan, it has now been finalized that a Digital Yoga Centre will be established in Japan within the coming months. This important initiative is receiving valuable support from
NASA-associated Japanese scientist Mr. Nagase,
Chief Technology Officer and scientist Mr. Krishna Khatiwada,
Prize-winning scientist Mr. Yama Ji of Yamato International,
and Ms. Naomi S., a leading Japanese woman entrepreneur and Director of an Organic Cosmetic Company in Japan.
