UP tableau shines on Kartavya Path, secures second place in the Popular Choice category

LUCKNOW, Jan 30: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh steadily progressing towards development, and received national-level recognition once again at the Republic Day Parade.
The parade held on Kartavya Path, the state's tableau was awarded the second prize in the Popular Choice category.
This widely appreciated tableau highlighted the cultural heritage of Bundelkhand along with the modern development journey of Uttar Pradesh.
By winning the award for the seventh consecutive year, Uttar Pradesh has established its distinct creative identity. The award distribution ceremony held at the National Rangshala Camp in New Delhi, Additional Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, Arvind Kumar Mishra was presented with a certificate of appreciation and a memento by Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth.
The parade featured a total of 30 tableaux, including 17 from states as well as Union Territories and 13 from ministries and departments.
Based on popularity, Uttar Pradesh secured second place among all participating tableaux.
The tableau based on the theme 'Samriddhi Ka Mantra Atma Nirbhar Bharat' shows the development journey of modern Uttar Pradesh, prominently depicted the historical and spiritual identity of Bundelkhand.
The rock art of Kalinjar Fort and the Ekamukh Ling were presented as symbols of the region's rich cultural heritage.
The tableau also included glimpses of Bundelkhand's terracotta art, bead craft, traditional handicrafts, One District One Product, the BrahMos missile, expressway network and modern infrastructure, presenting a balanced picture of development and tradition.
Uttar Pradesh has been continuously honoured for its attractive tableau for the seventh consecutive year.
In the Republic Day Parade, Uttar Pradesh tableaux won second prize in the year 2020 and first prize in the years 2021 and 2022. In the year 2023, the tableau received third prize in the Jury category and second prize in the Popular Choice category.
Similarly in the year 2024, the tableau secured second place in the Popular Choice category, while in the year 2025 it won first prize in the Jury category and second prize in the Popular Choice category.
In the year 2026 as well, the state's tableau stood second in the Popular Choice category, further strengthening Uttar Pradesh's creative identity on the national level.
