VIJAYPUR, Feb 2: The NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College, Vijaypur organised an informative lecture on the theme "NEP-2020: India's Journey toward a Knowledge Economy" as part of its academic and awareness initiatives. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Arti Sharma, Head of the Department of Environmental Science, who highlighted the key features of the National Education Policy 2020 and its role in transforming India into a global knowledge hub. Dr. Arti Sharma elaborated on how NEP-2020 emphasizes multidisciplinary learning, skill development, innovation, and research-oriented education to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global economy. She also stressed the importance of critical thinking, sustainability, and inclusive education in shaping future-ready citizens. The program was organized under the able guidance and supervision of the esteemed Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Ashu Vashisht. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, Head of the Department of English, and Prof. Meetu Sharma, Head of the Department of Geography.
